Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director

Mark Adamson is the chief executive officer and managing director of Fletcher Building. Prior to taking up his current role in October 2012, Mark held a number of positions with the Formica Group. He joined the Formica Group in 1998 as chief financial officer of the European division. Following that role he was appointed managing director UK and Eire, in 2004 was appointed president of Formica Europe and then chief executive of Formica Corporation in 2008. Prior to joining Formica Corporation he was financial controller of the pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Finance from Northumbria University in the UK. He is a member of the English Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Taxation.

Company Secretary and General Counsel

Charles was appointed General Counsel and Company Secretary in October 2013, having joined Fletcher Building as Corporate Legal Counsel in 2002.  Prior to joining Fletcher Building he spent eight years at the New Zealand law firm Bell Gully where he had a broad commercial law practice in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and managed funds.  Before that, Charles spent three years working as a lawyer at the New Zealand Stock Exchange.

Charles holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Victoria University of Wellington, and in 2009 completed the Senior Executive Programme at Columbia University in New York.

Chief Executive - Distribution

Dean Fradgley was appointed chief executive, Distribution, in August 2015.

Prior to joining Fletcher Building, Dean was managing director of Wolseley UK's pipe and climate business, a position he held since June 2010. He first joined Wolseley UK in November 2007 as trading director for climate center. Prior to that, Dean worked for 20 years with a number of blue chip companies, including J Sainsbury, Kingfisher and B&Q. At B&Q he was Head of Trade.

Francisco Irazusta

Chief Executive - International

Francisco joined Fletcher Building in March 2015. He has enjoyed an impressive career in global building products in both North America and Europe. Prior to joining Fletcher Building Francisco steered CRH plc's European Building Products business through tough times, driving performance improvement throughout his tenure.

Francisco holds a Master of Science - Industrial Engineering
from the State University of New York (USA).

Chief Executive - Construction

Graham Darlow has held the role of chief executive, construction since November 2011. He joined Fletcher Building in 1988, after starting his career as a professional engineer in Australia and the United Kingdom. He progressed through Fletcher Construction’s Engineering division to become General Manager in 2001.  After holding senior positions on many of New Zealand's largest construction projects, he now plays a significant role in the rebuild of Christchurch. Graham is a fellow and past president of the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand and a fellow of the Institute of Civil Engineers (UK).

Graham holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from The University of Auckland and attended the Advanced Management Programme at Mt Eliza Business School.

Chief People and Communications Officer

Kate Daly joined Fletcher Building as the group general manager of human resources in June 2011. Prior to this she was general manager corporate affairs, people & performance at Coca-Cola Amatil (NZ). Kate has also worked for Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, ABN AMRO and Greenwich Healthcare Trust in London.

Kate holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (majoring in Economics and International Business) and a Bachelor of Science degree (majoring in Pharmacology) from The University of Auckland.

Chief Executive - Building Products

Matt Crockett joined Fletcher Building in July 2015.

Matt was previously Chief Turnaround Officer at Spark New Zealand, where he has been responsible for Spark’s pan-company turnaround programme focused on cost, capital and revenue improvement initiatives. Prior to that Matt was Chief Development Officer and Managing Director of APN News and Media’s Digital Group. Prior to this Matt had a number of senior roles at Telecom New Zealand including responsibility for retail and wholesale business customers, and before this worked for international management consultancy McKinsey & Company.     

Matt has a Masters of Philosophy from Oxford University (UK) and a Bachelor of Engineering from Curtin University in Western Australia. He will take up his new role in July 2015.

Chief Executive - Residential & Land Development.

Steve Evans has been appointed as Chief Executive - Residential & Land Development. Over the last two years Steve has been the Chief Operating Officer – Housing in the Construction Division.

Steve started his career with Lend Lease in Australia, going on to work on major developments in Singapore, Taiwan, China and the UK.

Before joining Fletcher Building in December 2013 he was Development Director for Heron International in London.

Chief Information Officer

John joined Fletcher Building from Deloitte Consulting in Auckland where he was a senior partner. John has over 30 years business consulting experience working in both public and private sectors, leading complex programmes of work, from business case through design and implementation, to post-implementation and benefits realisation.

John has had a variety of leadership roles, and has worked with Deloitte in Canada, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. He has a broad range of experience in business strategy, sourcing, business transformation and information technology.

Chief Transformation Officer

Lee Finney who joined Fletcher Building in March 2016 has responsibility for Fletcher Building’s central marketing, operations excellence and procurement functions.  Lee is also be responsible for Fletcher Building’s Accelerate Programme.

Lee has extensive experience in transforming the operational performance of international businesses, most recently with Molson Coors where he has been Chief Supply Officer for the Canadian and European divisions since 2010. Prior to that Lee held senior supply chain leadership roles for Goodman Fielder in New Zealand, and for Campbell's in Europe and the USA.  

Lee has a MBA (Warwick, UK), Completed Advanced Management Program (INSEAD, France) 

Bevan McKenzie

Bevan McKenzie

Chief Financial Officer

Bevan McKenzie was appointed Chief Financial Officer in November 2016, having joined Fletcher Building in early 2014 as General Manager Group Strategy.  Bevan has played a key role in defining the company’s strategic blueprint and leading several portfolio changes, including completion of the Higgins acquisition and overseeing its integration into the Group.

Prior to joining Fletcher Building, Bevan worked for Boston Consulting Group and for Roquette Frères in France, where he held roles as the Head of Mergers & Acquisitions and led the Rest of the World commercial team.

Bevan holds a Masters of Business Administration from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland, and a Master of Arts (Hons) in political science from The University of Auckland.
