Our vision
Creating programmes
We have made significant progress in recent years in reducing injury rates in Fletcher Building. Our primary injury rate measure is the 12 Month Rolling Average Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate per Million Hours (TRIFR). Total recordable injuries are the sum of lost-time and medical treatment injuries. In the last three years, Fletcher Building’s TRIFR has dropped from 59.63 (June 2006) to 23.33 (June 2009). Over the same period, our lost time injury frequency rate has dropped from 9.84 to 5.34.

While we have achieved significant improvements in our health and safety performance we are conscious that we remain some distance from our vision. Considerable effort is continuing to accelerate the rate of improvement.
