Fletcher Building announces resignation of Mark Binns

Auckland, 4 October 2011 – Fletcher Building announces the resignation of Mark Binns, chief executive of the Infrastructure division. Mark has accepted the position of Chief Executive of Meridian Energy, a large New Zealand-based electrical generator and retailer.

Mark Binns has been with Fletcher Building since 1989 and has held a number of roles during that time. Chief Executive Jonathan Ling said "Mark has made a very significant contribution to the business, and has been at the forefront of the company’s construction activities for a number of years. In addition, Mark has been a committed and valued member of the Executive Committee enhancing the general management of the company. I wish Mark well in his new role as a chief executive of a major New Zealand business."

Mark will remain with Fletcher Building until December 2011. An announcement on a replacement for Mark will be made in due course.
