3 Feb - Fletcher Building received ACCC clearance for possible acquisition of Insulation Solutions Pty Limited, a subsidiary of Amatek Holdings Limited.

11 Nov - Fletcher Building announced that it had signed a conditional agreement to acquire the assets of the Kuala Lumpur-based company, Malaysian Roofing Industries Snd Berhad, a subsidiary of the Nylex Group.
11 Nov - Fletcher Building advised that it had been participating in a sale process for some of the businesses of the Amatek group of companies.
29 April - Pacific Wire was successful in its claim of galvanised steel wire dumping imported from Malaysia causing material injury to New Zealand industry.

30 Sept - Completion of acquisition of Tasman Building Products Pty
19 August - Fletcher Building announces it has signed an agreement to purchase Tasman Building Products Pty Limited. Tasman has significant building operations In Australia and New Zealand and a small operation in USA.
26 May - Geoff McGrath appointed as non-executive director.

18 Sept - Fletcher Building announces agreement to purchase The Laminex Group, a major Australian building products group.
14 August - Fletcher Building enters into an unconditional agreement for the sale of its Bolivian concrete businesses to Soboce SA, a Bolivian cement producer.
8 July - Fletcher Aluminium sells its Australian distribution business to Capral Aluminium.
1 July - Fletcher Building accepted to a full listing on the Australian Stock Exchange.
15 June Fletcher Building de-listed from the NYSE.
