Jonathan Ling Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director
Jonathan Ling was appointed Chief Executive Officer in May 2006 and to the board in August 2006. Prior to joining Fletcher Building in July 2003, he was Executive General Manager of the Nylex Division, Austrim Nylex Ltd. He was Chief Executive Officer of Visy Recycling for four years and prior to that Manager Corporate Development with Pacifica Ltd where he led Pacifica's extensive business build up in Asia.
Jonathan has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Melbourne University and Master of Business Administration from RMIT.

Mark Adamson Chief Executive - Laminates & Panels
Mark Adamson joined the Formica Group in 1998 as Chief Financial Officer of the European division followed by the role of Managing Director UK and Eire. In 2004 he became President of Formica Europe and accepted the role of Chief Executive Formica Corporation following the acquisition by Fletcher Building. In October 2011, he became Chief Executive of the combined Laminates & Panels division following a review of the division's structure. Prior to joining Formica Corporation he was Financial Controller of GlaxoSmithKline.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Finance from Northumbria University UK. He is a member of the English Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Taxation.

John Beveridge Chief Executive - Distribution
John Beveridge joined Fletcher Building as general manager of Fletcher Easysteel in 1998. He was General Manager of Golden Bay Cement, and general manager of the Pacific Steel Group, before appointed chief executive of Distribution in 2009.
John has a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from Otago University, and a post-graduate diploma in marketing at the University of Auckland. In 2005, he attended the Senior Executive Programme at Columbia University, New York.

Kate Daly Group General Manager - Human Resources
Kate Daly joined Fletcher Building as the Group General Manager of Human Resources in June 2011. Prior to joining Fletcher Building, Kate was General Manager Corporate Affairs, People & Performance for Coca-Cola Amatil (NZ). Prior to this she worked for Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, ABN AMRO and Greenwich Healthcare Trust in London.
Kate holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (majoring in Economics and International Business) and a Bachelor of Science degree (majoring in Pharmacology) from the University of Auckland.

Graham Darlow Chief Executive - Construction
Graham joined Fletcher Building in 1988, after starting his career as a professional engineer. He rose through Fletcher Construction’s Engineering division to become General Manager in 2001. He was selected by the government as a founding governance board member for the Christchurch Infrastructure Alliance and is the current chair of the alliance board for the $1.4b Waterview Connection. Graham is a Fellow and Deputy President of the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand and a Fellow of the Institute of Civil Engineers (UK).
Graham holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from Auckland University and attended the Advanced Management Programme at Mt Eliza Business School.

Martin Farrell Company Secretary and General Counsel
Martin Farrell joined Fletcher Challenge Limited in 1980 where he headed the tax function across the Fletcher Challenge group. In addition to this, he took on the role of Company Secretary in early 2000. Prior to joining Fletcher Challenge he worked for KPMG.
Martin has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from Otago University. He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand.

Mark Malpass Chief Executive - Concrete
Mark was recruited as Chief Executive Concrete in November 2011. Prior to joining Fletcher Building he had a 19 year career with ExxonMobil Corporation. He has had senior roles in Australia, United States and most recently Singapore where he led strategic change within the Asia-Pacific business. Prior to leaving New Zealand, Mark was the Country Manager and Chairman of Mobil Oil New Zealand Ltd. He was also a director of the New Zealand Refining Company.
Mark holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Victoria University of Wellington, Bachelor of Engineering (BE Mechanical, Hons) from the University of Auckland, and New Zealand Certificate in Engineering (NZCE Mechanical) from Auckland Institute of Technology.

Tim Richards Chief Executive - Building Products
Tim has been with Fletcher Building since 2005 when the Amatek Group was acquired and he became General Manager of Stramit, a leading Australian manufacturer of roll-formed steel building products. Prior to joining Stramit he worked for Boral Timber.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) from Charles Sturt University, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, and in 2010 attended the Advanced Management Program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Bill Roest Chief Financial Officer
Bill Roest held several leadership roles in the New Zealand finance sector before joining Fletcher Challenge Limited upon the acquisition of Group Rentals in 1986. Since then, he has been Managing Director of Fletcher Residential and Fletcher Aluminium before taking up his present position. He also has responsibility for planning, procurement and performance improvement initiatives across Fletcher Building.
Bill is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand and a fellow of the Association of Certified Corporate Accountants (UK).

David Worley Chief Executive - Crane
David Worley was appointed Chief Executive of the Crane division in April 2011 after 5 years as the Chief Executive of The Laminex Group. Prior to joining Fletcher Building in January 2002, David was General Manager of James Hardie Industries in New Zealand. His broad business background also includes the role of General Manager in Auckland Healthcare Services and senior positions in Whitcoulls and Carter Holt Harvey.
David gained his Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Business Administration degrees from Auckland University.

Paul Zuckerman Chief Executive - Steel
Paul Zuckerman was recruited as Chief Executive of the Steel division in May 2007. Prior to joining Fletcher Building, Paul held the position of President, Greater China within BlueScope Steel Limited, having held increasingly senior management roles in that company, based in USA and Australia, over the last 11 years. Prior to this, his business background included eight years at PPG Industries, a leading global manufacturer of industrial coating, glass and chemical products.
Paul gained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Syracuse University and his MBA from Ohio State University.
